Pike County’s Emergency Operation and Training Center is a state of the art facility for handling any natural disaster, but also training first responders. This facility features three 85 inch screens that can be controlled independently, an Owl Labs© videoconferencing system, multiple EXPO© boards, and presenter focused layout. Seating is broken down into three areas. The center section forms a “U” shape with the presenter in the middle and two of the screens behind him. From the center the presenter has easy access to his laptop and is easily able to interacted with everyone in this section. To the left of the presenter is a large conference table that can be used general meetings or overflow seating for the main presentation area. To the right of the present are two smaller meeting tables that are perfect for setting up training/exercise material or break the attendees into groups.
